On 12th November-13, FSL-India, HBP - Eco-team consist Mr. Moritz. Ms. Romy, and Mr. Austin, made BIG (Bio-Intensive Garden), means growing more vegitable sowed Fifteen different vegetable Seeds on a 10 square feet zone between the Kinder Garden school and Panchayath office. Our intension was to prepare Bio-intensive garden, which can get vegetable with out use of pesticide or chemical, this way children can get organic farm vegetables for good health.

In India many places we can see malnourished children status increasing tendency, in Karnataka at present 68,000 children are suffering from malnourished, if we need to prevent this, we have to give nourished food, this BIG yield or Harvested vegetables can be good nourishment food for children and it can prevent the malnourishment.

Hence we guided and inform school teacher to take care of the vegetable garden. When we started digging the earth over and cleaned the area, its took more time because there were amounts of plastic and stones in the earth. We created water lines in the garden to walk, Then we sowed 15 different kinds of vegetable seeds in the well prepared soil. Afterwards we put the cow dung on the sowed seeds channel and prepared a fence to protect the plants from animals, they were very happy, we got very good response from Koni kindergarten staffs and we wanted to promote this BIG in other places.
