Children Gram Sabha at Marventhe


On 30th December 2013 Marventhe Panchayath held Annual Childrens Gram Sabha at V.K. Kamath hall. This Parliament covers Primary to High school childrens active participation in raising needs and problems of their school premises and village as well. Schools namely primary students from Karavali school Marventhe, Higher primary students from Marventhe, High school students from Marventhe and 15 teachers are involved. Above 200 students have been participated. Panchayath president, PDO, Ex President of Panchayath and All members of the Panchayath involved.

NGOs namely Namma Bhoomi,Ajim Premji foundation Gulbarga, and FSL INDIA were partcipated. From FSL INDIA Mr.Austin and Manjula from HBP took part in the event. Childrens Gram Sabha aims to sensitize panchyath body through childrens to address their schools and community problems and needs. Besides children can learn about parliament system, confidence to raise their problems transparently, fight for their rights, discuss about community problem in the gram Sabha gathering.



Here Children's raised several problems such as need of School compound, Play ground, Stage, chairs in schools , name board for school, library, laboratory and need of community requirements like street lights, road facilities, dustbin, open well need fence, bridge etc...


 


Last year meeting requisition and fulfilment by Panchayath:- During Last year Children's parliament children's submission to the panchyath about some problems thus Panchayath President and PDO explained about facilities provided such as some street lights, made zebra cross for road near by school, Water purifier facility done in all schools, schools compound work is in progress in High schools. Thus Children's parliament concludes with vote of Thanks to everyone.
